Like I said in the add, these are un-tested, they have been sitting quite a while.

Umm, not for $1.50 a disk it isn't.

Even if the disk is bad the floppy can be popped open that the media replaced and put back together so they still have the original disk. The windows files can easily be downloaded and can be copied onto the new media.

That's something I would never look forward to have to be doing under any circumstances. I'd much rather know what I was getting beforehand.

It's not whether it'd good enough for us since neither of us is a potential buyer. But if a buyer is looking for a working set it will matter to him or her.

FWIW, DIR and CHKDSK are not a really good method of checking a disk's veracity as they do not go beyond the system area. I have lots of disks that can pass the DIR and CHKDSK test but are still flawed in the data area and that renders them unusable.

I have found that a really reliable yet simple test is Norton Disk Test (DT.EXE). It's very fast and does an excellent job of turning up bad or unreadable sectors in both the system and data areas of floppy disks.
