G3 PowerBook clamshell charger

I found one. Spent about 50.00 shipping included.

Plug doesn’t fit. It clearly says m7332 on it. Yet my laptop port is too big.

What am I missing. Are there multiple variants to this yo-yo charger?

Definitely don’t want to burn up my g3 clamshell…. So I have to make 100% sure I’m getting the correct adapter. And yes I want an original. There must be some left out there.

Ah yes, the age old problem of not having the correct laptop charger. I have quite literally bins and drawers full of laptop chargers and many universal chargers with dozens of tips and I still manage to find new ones that I don't have all the time.

According to this website https://ibook-clamshell.com/index.php/en/hardware there are at least two different tip types, one for the clamshell and a smaller one for the later G4 Titanium, and typical of Apple, they used the same part number for both.

Nice! Thanks Apple. So the only for sure way to know is to measure the connector size. Nice.

I'd normally just say to roll your own, but that's a pretty bizarre tip type. It looks like an RCA plug with the center barrel being replaced with a 1/8" stereo audio connector.
