Getting Data Off my PDP-11/03 Faster

None of my PDP-11 hardware is new enough to have 3.5" or 5.25" hard drive mounting facilities. For example, here's the system that prompted me to start this thread:



It has no existing hard drives, and the existing floppy drives are an RX02 unit.

Another option I've considered is to mount the drive emulator inside the RX02, so I can just slide the RX02 out a few inches on its rails to get access to the SD/CF/etc. card on the emulator.

I used an Evercool Armor H.D.D. Cooling Box, which converts a single full height 5.25"drive bay (or dual half height) for mounting three 3.5"or four 2.5"drives, in my PDP11/73's BA123 enclosure. I had to modify the DEC drive sled a bit for the mounting holes. It sits nicely in the "hidden" lower drive slot.
