The Glenside Color Computer Club, Inc. picnic is October 22nd, 2022. It is from 1:00 PM to late. It is at Woodfield mall in Schaumburg, IL. It will start in the food court and then move to the Enterrium. The Enterrium is a restaurant, bar, arcade, and bowling alley.

If you park in the 3 story east parking lot (next to Macy's) then you can go in the mail entrance or you can go in the Enterrium entrance. If you go in the mall entrance then you can ride the escalator to the 2nd floor and find the food court. There is also an elevator to the 2nd floor. If you take the Enterrium entrance then you can take the stairs to the second floor or you can take the elevator to the 2nd floor. Then walk out the back door and you will be in the food court. If you plan to stay past 7:30 PM then you should use the Enterrium entrance because the mall closes at 8:00 PM. Enterium is open from 12:00 PM to 12:00 AM.

It can be hard too at times to find a seat in the Enterrium restaurant, but if we use the food court restaurants then we should be ok. You will need to buy your own food, there are several restaurants to choose from. The Enterrium will sell you a plastic card for about $20.00. You can play video games and pinball games until the money runs out. The games cost between $1.00 and #3.00 each. Bowling: $100/Hour per Lane with ShoeRental Included.

The video games include games such as PAC-MAN, Qix, Dig Dug, One of the PAC-MAN games lets you start out at level 255. There is also a version of PAC-MAN this will let 4 people pay at the same time, competing against one another.

Woodfield Mall is handicap accessible. I am not sure if the video games are considered handicap accessible.

This map will lead to the entrance of Enterrum: The mall entrance is to the right of the Enterrum entrance. You can enter Enterrum from the outside parking lot or inside the mall from the food court..

The food court is called the dining pavilion.

Electrical outlets are provided at some of the benches, so you can plug in your computer. I plan to spend 45 minutes in the dining pavilion so you may be able to do a presentation. I believe Wi-Fi is provided. I found a WiFi name of "#free simon wifi". If your computer has personal information on it then you may want to use a Virtual Private Network. I saw a spot on one table where it looked like you could place your smart phone and it would inductively charge.

Gluten free food is provided. The pizza restaurant has gluten free pizza. The donut shop has a small selection of gluten free donuts. And Chipotle has their burrito bowl.

I will plan to wear a long sleeve shirt with a Hawaiian shirt on top of that. It is white and blue with sword fish. There is nowhere to hang your coat, so I plan to leave my coat in my car. If you have a video gaming shirt or vintage computer shirt then that would be good.

So far I have confirmation that 5 people are coming.

I have a correction to make on the bowling price.
Bowling: $10/hour per person with shoe rental an extra $5.

The mall has 3 levels, The lower level, the middle level, and the upper level. The middle level is small and close to Macy's. The middle level does not extend the full length of the mall.

If you find a Directory/Map in the mall, then look for the green area labeled J. That is the Dining Pavilion.

The mall is in the form of a cross. Macy's is at one end, JCPenney is at another end, Nordstrom is at another end, and there is a empty section in the final end. On the inside the empty section is boarded up and coved with wallpaper. Between Macy's and the empty section there is main entrance that is about 9 doors wide with a sign over it that reads Dining Pavilion. If you go into that entrance, you will be on the lower level, and you will soon find the kiddie train ride, then take the escalator to the upper level. While going up, look up and you will a big sign that reads Dining Pavilion. Now go into the back of the Dining Pavilion and look for a big sign that reads Enterrium. Go over there and see if you can find us. You may also want to check by the big television screens. The Dining Pavilion is next to the empty section.

I have conformation that 6 people will be there. Perhaps more people will come who have not confirmed.

The donut shop has cronuts, show up early because they go fast.
