Oops, I accidentally seem to have bought a CBM 128D today.
Hey, it was only 10 euro's (whats that, about $50 nowadays?).

Now I am afraid I need an explanation before the wife gets home... any proven ideas?

You'd think I'd get away with one of these crystals?

Tell her the keyboard can be stored underneath the computer, and other stuff can be piled upon it, so it takes very little space. Currently I'm storing my C128D in my closet, because I don't have room for it and I'm unsure what I want to do with it.

:D

There seems to be one thing with it: a missing video cable.
Am I right that the 128D has two video ports, for 40 and 80 column?

Do you know if cables can be found and more important: what monitor does it need?
I had a 1084 once, long ago..

Yes, the 8-pin DIN contains both composite and S-video signals for the 40 column and C64 modes. The DB9 is for 80 column VDC mode, a RGB signal basically CGA compatible but eight colours.
