Help with WP-2 screen

Good evening!

I have just got a Tandy WP-2 wordprocessor. It turns on and all the buttons seem to be working. There is one issue. Every second or so, the screen refreshes. If I turn up the contrast, it fully darkens, and there is no blinking. I remember these from grade school, and they did not seem to have this refresh issue. Am I just smoking acid and all these old machines had super slow refresh rates, or could there be another reason (bad capacitor or timing, etc). Thanks for your help and have a great day!

Okay, solved my own issue, yay!

Apparantly, if the button battery is going low, it will do this blinking thing. After a little while, the low battery icon would appear in the right hand corner. Replacing the coin battery solved it, and it is working like a champ! Now to add the extra memory and prepare a serial transfer cable.... yay!
