Honeywell manuals for the Model 101 Magnetic Tape Recorder/Reproducer Portable System

Today while searching for other serious computer part documentation, I found at Jaak's computer and other vintage equipment two binders with documentation of a Honeywell tape system. Is it worthwhile to scan this? If so, I will loan them next time we try to locate the other documentation.

Yes, absolutely it's worth scanning those documents!honeywell equipment, especially tape systems, are quite rare and valuable.Many people look for such information and it’s offten hard to find online.Also there might be some unique specifications or diagrams in those binders.

I'll put them up under "test equipment" I have a few Ampex instrumentation recorders that I've scanned.
What I was trying to say was that these weren't manuals for anything you'd connect to a computer.

Finally the manuals are retrieved and scanned. They were found in two binders named "HONEYWELL TAPE RECORDER MOD. 101 3/4" and "HONEYWELL TAPE RECORDER MOD. 101 4/4". No trace of binders 1/4 and 2/4.

Here is a real Honeywell 101 for sale: https://www.govdeals.com/en/asset/7459/6794. It should contain an MC6809 processor and peripherials.

That's a real beast. That one seems to be a "16+16" (16 record amplifiers and 16 reproduce amplifiers) -- see tag over power inlet and the two arrays of BNC connectors. From the documentation:

"Two basic configurations are available. One has medium-band heads (Direct-600 kHz System; FM-IRIG Intermediate Band and FM-IRIG Wideband Group 1). The other has wide-band heads (Direct-2 MHz System; FM-IRIG Wideband Group ll)."

Presumably the part number MD101AFNSJAS identifies which of these two configurations apply.

First time that I've seen a coaxial reel system; certainly aids in overall compactness. It would be great if the eBay images were archived along with the manuals.
