When I click on the button next to a topic to take me to the first unread post, the topic's appropriate page is displayed then some kind of automatic scrolling down happens to reach the desired post. How does one turn that behavior off and just jump immediately to the proper post? Thanks.

Well you can do what I do. When I got through the list of "New Topics", I Cmd-Click on the little arrow (I'm on a Mac), which opens the topic in a new page (I'm sure there's a similar click on other platforms). That way, by the time I actually get done scanning the list, and all the topics are open in their own tabs, all of that scrolling is done. In fact, until i saw this topic and tried it myself, I didn't even know there was scrolling.

I noticed that tool. Very, very fing annoying. It's one of those stupid animations that drooling idiots like because it makes the web site "pop". Meanwhile, it gives everyone else a seizure.

It is also retarded because it makes it look like it is still the same page.
