How to Enter the bios on Olivetti M316 Laptop

Hello,

does anybody know how to enter the BIOS on an Olivetti M316 Laptop?

SHIFT + CTRL + ALT + DEL (this works on later olivetti devices) didn´t work. Is there another key combination to press
or does it really require a bootable customer disk?

Those are generic CMOS setup tools that will run on most "AT" class clones including 286s, 386s, and 486s. There are many of them and are floating around many older archives. Usually you just need to Google by the name.

Of course, that assumes the machine will boot prior to being set up.

A quick search suggests that laptop is probably a 386 built ~1991. I would expect that to be compatible with those utilities. It probably does have a built-in CMOS setup, but manufacturers were rarely consistent. Usually you press some key combination when it boots. F1, ESC, Alt-F1, Ctr-ESC, DEL, you may just have to experiment.

Compaq's often said Hit DEL for Setup, while Dells said Hit Compaq for Setup

I was able to figure it out. There is defenitely no Key combination to be pressed. You´ll nee a olivetti customer utilities disk to make modifications to the bios. Funny enough, i used the disk from an Olivetti M300 which worked
