I have what i learned is an IBM clone of a 5160 turbo XT. I am having nothing but problems restoring the motherboard and would like to get a replacement on ebay as i am impatient and this PC has a goal to serve. I am not competent enough to identify what i have to find a replacement. i have included a pict below. So what is this motherboard? on ebay i find many original and clone 8088 XT boards with 640kb. Is that what i should be looking for? Or better yet does someone on this forum have a working replacement to sell me please?. I would also give away my clone board for free, Thank you very much.

Looks like a relatively early XT clone - based on the 4.77/8.0 turbo speeds. If you pull the BIOS chip and read it, you would get more information. To me, the board does not look to be in good shape but I'm not sure that you cleaned it up too well. Typical Taiwanese clone and they were extant during that time.

I am not going to recommend a specific *bay advert, but mine, which is a DTK 4.77/10.0 is rock solid and you can easily get documentation e.g., here and other places. Your experience, of course, could be very different.

That is a generic Taiwanese "ERSO" style clone. It does not have a specific brand, and similar ERSO style clone boards may vary in where jumpers and headers are located.

As long as the replacement board fits in the case - ISA slots, keyboard, power all line up - then any turbo XT clone board should suffice.
