Cards like the AST SixPakPlus are good, get ports + clock + RAM all in one slot.
That is speculation, not established fact.so it could be connected to a mainframe computer.
I thought I'd once read something about a limited use for a PC XT slot.
It seems not al cards work in the slot with the circle.
Can anyone tell me what the limitations are?
Its shouldn't even be speculation because I'm afraid that it's incorrect. There is no need for special slot for connecting to a mainframe. Any old slot will do (other than as above) with the appropriate adapter card: Serial Adapter, BSC Adapter, SDLC, Adapter or (via a control unit) 3278/79 Adapter. That is speculation, not established fact.
Hello Roland,
I couldn't resist commenting on the sweet looking XT you have there. I was curious though, I couldn't make out the type of card in slot 1.
