Installing XT-IDE and XT-FDC in same computer

In the earlier thread at [here] is, "but now, after erasing my compact flash I get an Error 2h! when trying to boot from A:"
After erasing the CF !!!
As an experiment, does the error disappear if you disconnect the two CF's (and the adapters as well) from the XT-IDE card and then attempt a boot from A: ?

Sorry yes I was able to boot another XT with the 1.2 meg floppy I mentioned earlier. I can read and write files to the floppies and read them on another XT. I am going to try the memory addresses you suggested
