Hello everyone,
I have an INTRA LT-386SX laptop that I'm trying to troubleshoot. It was given to me by a friend, and even though the power supply they gave me "fits", it's not the original. Therefore, I'm not sure if it's even giving the proper voltage output. I've searched and searched, but I can not find anything about this laptop other than a few pictures. The power supply that I do have outputs 8V and 7Vs. There is a 3rd pin in the connector that shows no voltage at all.
If anyone has any insight as to how I can go about troubleshooting this machine, I would greatly appreciate it. It does not turn on. I have checked many places on the board with my multimeter, and many do show the 8V DC, but others like the RAM chips, show nothing at all. I'm just trying to figure out how to get started. At this point, I don't even know if this power supply is providing the correct voltage. In my experience, usually it's 5V +/- and 12V. So this PSU having a 8V and 7V DC output is strange. This laptop is strange though, so who knows.
I've attached several photos in case it helps. 4 are of the main board, 1 is the label on the PSU. If anyone knows where I can find more information about this machine, or has any suggestions as to methods I can use to find and fix the fault, I would be extremely grateful!
Thank you so much!!!
