Is PicoMEM not compatible with the IBM PS/1 2121?

Hello,

I have an IBM PS/1 Model 2122, and it does not appear that the option ROM for PicoMEM is working with this system. I have read other forum posts, and the word is that unplugging the IDE HDD from the motherboard will allow option ROMs.

For the sake of it, I connected an ISA VGA card to this machine, and its option ROM starts upon powering the machine. I have the PicoMEM set to IRQ 7, and have the latest July 2024 firmware installed.

Does anyone have any suggestions? Thank you.

I suppose it is you that posted on the PicoMEM Github ?

"As there is an issue with option ROMs loading on the PS/1 2121, I was able to get it to work by setting the BIOS address to C800, and setting PREBOOT in the config.txt configuration file. After enabling the Disk BIOS, I am able to use the PicoMEM on this machine now."
