Hey there! I'm looking for someone with a AGP PowerMac that supports the Radeon 9800 Pro to test my 9800 Pro and then if it works on Mac reflash a X86/PC BIOs onto.

Basically this card was in a G4 MDD that blew up its power supply due to the previous owner using a cheap molex splitter that melted at the split and ruined the one of the ground pins on the card itself on the other end of that splitter. I've replaced the Molex connector on the card (it had carbonized the pin black) and I'm not seeing any other damage to the card which make me think the ground protection saved the card. Unfortunately Mac 9800's don't even show up to ATI FlashRom (much less boot) on PC so I can't flash a PC BIOs to test it so I'm looking to hire the services of someone that does. I will provide the appropriate software and BIOs file and instructions if needed.

Alternatively, I'm happy to trade it to someone for an interesting x86 compatible video card (I'm a GPU collector so anything I don't already have will be considered as an offer, I already have a 256MB 9800 Pro but not a 128MB model like this one). I also pulled the Dual 1.25GHZ CPU board out of said Macintosh which I'd be happy to throw in on top of a cash payment as again, I own no Macs from this era.
 
I recall reflashing a card for Mac (and back) using a simple S3 trio pci vga card when I needed to see what I was doing in the PC after using the Mac firmware. If you’ve got a PCI vga card try putting it and the Mac agp card in a PC and see if the flashing software can read the AGP card.
 
I have a G4 DA with an AGP slot if you still need the card flashed. You'll need to provide the software and instructions for flashing the card, because while I've done PC -> Mac flashes, I've never gone the other way. I currently have a Geforce 6200 in it that I flashed and modded to work with the machine, had to tape pins 3 and 11 to get around the ADC nonsense.

The only potential issue is that I remember reading years ago about some Mac edition card that I think was the Radeon 9800 had additional circuitry on the card to prevent it from working in a regular PC, on top of the PowerPC BIOS and required some hardware mods to get it working. I did a bit of digging and I couldn't find the site that had the info on it anymore, probably lost to the sands of time.
 
Curious what cards you are looking for... I have a p4 3.06HT that pair nicely with the 9800, already have a 6600gt in it but rather have an ATI card.
