Living Computers in Seattle is closing, for now?

That man has no pull from the grave. Paul Allen died years ago.

A man with that kind of pull and this still happened..
He chose to do this. This is what he wanted. He was a person of means, he could have kept it in perpetuity, and chose not to.

Felt he had better things to do with his money.

That I didnt know.. Still. A shame.

Well....that's it folks.

There's a pretty crazy amount of limbo right now since it's still unclear what will happen to the lesser artifacts and donations that were made to the museum, but that marks the end of it.
That's really sad to hear. At least there's a good chance of the collection actually landing in the hands of collectors who care about what happens to them. Unlike the Houston Computer museum. Even though it's made me a lot of money, I got there literally at the tail end, and I've seen my fair share of items that were parted out, that shouldn't have been parted out, things that were slated to be trashed, that shouldn't have been trashed (or got trashed before I got there), and stuff that just wasn't taken care of/preserved.
