Ran across a Mac 512k board that had been upgraded at some point in time, but unfortunately I have found practically no information about the MagicSCSI board (770-5380). Is anyone familiar with this board? Will I need to use any special drivers to access a SCSI drive? Is it possible to boot from a SCSI drive? Is there anything else of interest about this board that may be worth pursuing?

Here's an image of the board (click to zoom):

And yes, unfortunately one of the SCSI connector pins appears to be missing/broken.

From the looks of it, the ROMs has been replaced, and are probably copies of 512e or Plus. so yes, it should be bootable.
I wouldn't worry too much about the missing pin, it was probably intentional to serve as key for cabling.
