The problem has been solved .... by replacing the HAL
I was quite sure it was a signal generation problem since every other component that is involved in the video signal generation had been already replaced.
If you look at
you will find the only remaining component was the HAL and someone on usenet just hinted it may be the cause.
Thanks to all of you for your patience and you great help. There are still other problems on this computer but at least this one is solved.
