I know I can purchase the a2heaven ram expansion for $70 when instock. However, looking at the schematics of the IIc's expansion port and reading the disassembly of the ROM code that deals with it, it seems that this is just RAM connected to slot #4 with ROM code to let you treat it like a block device.
I'm wondering if I'm missing something. It looks as though it would be fairly trivial to use the two signals plus the address/data lines and create a very simple expansion on a breadboard.
Am I missing something obvious here? I was expecting to have to deal with select lines, etc, but there appears to be no such thing required.
