Model I Training Fixture

The postings about early Model I technical information reminded me of this...

The photo is of an early, maybe the first Model I training system. This was old when I first saw it in 1980. I don't know who built it or when, but it was in National Technical Support in 1980.

When we taught the Model I in training classes we used regular Model I and EI systems...

Lord that exposed 110 line looks like an easy zap waiting to happen. Looks like wood paneling and zip ties. Keyboard being orientated right would have been easier too. Neat picture.
 
I didn’t build it and it was never powered up when we used it—just for pointing at components. Actually, I never did use it at all. Interesting bit of Model I arcana of unknown origin.

Not exactly safe, as you say!
