Does anyone have any ideas on where to purchase or if it is possible to build a papertape reader for the KIM-1?

MOS KIM-1 papertape

Search around for the OP-80(a) -- it's a small paper tape reader intended for home micros like the KIM-1. You'd have to interface it and write a loader, but that should be fairly easy. There's someone out there who's made an exact copy of the OP-80 that's supposed to work as well as the original.
