Although it cost alot, I will finally have an IBM PC 5150. I also will have the following hardware to fit inside it:

IBM Personal Computer Math Coprocessor
IBM Keyboard (83-Key)
IBM Monochrome Display
IBM Monochrome Display and Printer Adapter
IBM Color Display
IBM Color/Graphics Display Adapter
IBM Printer Adapter
IBM Asychronous Adapter
IBM Game Control Adapter
IBM 5-1/4" Diskette Drive Adapter
IBM 5-14" Diskette Drive x 2 (Full Height)
IBM 20MB Fixed Disk Drive
Kraft Premium II PC Joystick (substitute for IBM PCjr.'s joystick)

I am missing the following still:
IBM 64/256K Memory Expansion Option x 2 (to get to 640KB)
IBM Asychronous Adapter (2nd)
IBM Fixed Disk Drive Adapter (20MB Compatible Version)
IBM 20MB Fixed Disk Drive (2nd)

Obviously, all of this will not fit inside a 5150, with its 5 slots and 63.5W power supply! Until I can afford an IBM Expansion Unit, that is the way it will have to be! The end result is that I will have a fully stocked IBM PC 5150, going as far as it can go with IBM hardware.

Well done,

The 5150 is a classic machine and that is a pretty full configuration.

I'm looking for a monochrome (green screen) monitor in good condition here in New Zealand but I'm not holding my breath.

I only got the following in my XT:

1x IBM Personal Computer Math Coprocessor (Not really the IBM one, but from Intel)
1x IBM Keyboard (83-Key)
1x IBM Monochrome Display
1x IBM Monochrome Display and Printer Adapter
1x IBM 5-1/4" Diskette Drive Adapter
2x IBM 5-1/4" Diskette Drive (Full Height)
1x IBM 64/256K Memory Expansion Option

Where do you get all that other stuff from?

Sweet, that must have set you back a few!!

The color monitor/adapter...is that CGA or some other kind of color graphics? My local library used 5150s up until pretty recently, but they only had monochrome monitors. Never seen one (in person) with a color monitor hooked up to it.

It is here at last and appears to be working perfectly. I say "appears" because there is much testing still to be done. I have been able to boot to DOS, read/write off both drives and even play some King's Quest II (booter) and other games.

It even came with an unexpected bonus: an AST Six Pak Plus card! With it I have the full 640K of RAM and an extra Serial, Parallel, and a replacement Game port.

Unfortunately, the analog stick on my Kraft II isn't working correctly. Maybe the pots need some cleaning.
