I recently acquired a Tektronix 4125 workstation (and/or terminal??) that is designed to be paired with a DEC MicroVax II. It has a “to computer” port that presumably connects to a DEC computer (same connector on many MicroVax systems) but I have no idea what it does. Mainly because the manual for the Tektronix system seems to be lost media. Any info would help, thanks!

do you have the ability to photograph the boards in your 4125 and dump the firmware?
I plan to get photos of the boards in full in the future. Can’t dump the firmware yet since I don’t have a chip reader but one of the few manuals I could find implies the chips are socketed and EEPROMs if I remember correctly. Here are the only board photos I have for now.

There are brief references to a DMA interface ( https://w140.com/tekwiki/wiki/4125) . That would be a high speed way (~1 MB/sec) way to exchange data between the two devices. The DEC machines probably used a DRV11-B/DR11-B (16 bit parallel). No mention of the sofware needed on either side to make this happen.

You've obviously got the "VS5XB VS500 GRAPHICS SUBSYSTEM", which is the graphics part of a VAXSTATION 500 (if paired with a MicroVAX I) or of a VAXSTATION 520 (if paired with a MicroVAX II). Both models seem to bee very rare. I let you know when I found out more.
