I recently got a NuXT (ya, I know it's not vintage, but it is for all intents and purposes).

I pulled a 5.25" 360K floppy drive out of my spare parts box and installed it.

The drive works fine. FORMAT shows no errors. SYS A: shows no errors. ATTRIB A:*.* shows all the correct files.

But when I try to boot from the 360K drive, it just stops. No beeps. No errors. The floppy light turns on for a bit, then turns off.

I'm wondering if anyone else has ever had this issue? I'm going to try one of my 1.2MB floppy drives that I know works.
Note that I did get it to boot from a 3.5" 1.44MB drive.

And, yes, I do have the drive set correctly in the BIOS.

It seems like I spoke (wrote?) too soon.

When booting, I was hitting the "A" key to say I want to boot from the A: drive.

However, if I hit F2 when booting, to go into the XTIDE boot menu, then select the A: drive, it boots just fine.
