Osborne1 (tan case) power cord cover - now available

Needing a power cord cover plate for another tan case Osborne 1, I decided to copy an original that I had on another Os1.



And here's what they look like (remanufactured on the left, original on the right).






It's not perfect but it looks pretty good. It's ABS plastic, textured on one side, smooth on the other, 3/32" thick, all just like the original.

In the process of making mine, I made a couple extras so if anyone else is missing the cover, they can have one for $ 5 (to cover the cost of the materials; ABS plastic, Velcro, rivets, and some sort of package to mail it in - no labor cost included - believe me !) plus postage.

Very nicely done, Lorne!

I'm looking at my B model wondering what to do before its weakened latch on the power cord cover gives out. I was thinking of backing up the plastic "spring" section with a thin sheet of stainless riveted on, to keep the spring action and hold the bits together when the crack gets all the way across.
