I've had a few Panasonic Sr Partner's over the years and noticed in certain situations like no storage devices it would boot to the diagnostics software. I recently acquired another one, dumped the roms and sure enough the diagnostics software is there in the system rom area.
The Sr Partner was also rumored to have been pulled from the US market because Panasonic stole IBM's BIOS code. I don't know if that's true or just legend though. With the green screen and thermal paper it really is a fun machine to play around with. It also has some of the most insane CGA snow I've ever seen!
Attached is the ROM dump and DOS version of the diagnostics software if anybody is interested.
