I've got a Model F keyboard for my PC/AT that I had to take apart to service, and its been giving me no end of grief
putting it back together. I must have put this thing back together half a dozen times by now, and each time it gives me
some sort of keyboard error.
Currently, it is giving me a "57 301-Keyboard Error", meaning that my right SHIFT key is stuck down. Except that it
isn't. I hit F1, get DOS to boot, and there are no erroneous SHIFT key presses (my lowercase characters are still lower
case). Furthermore, a complete test of the keyboard shows that every key works as it is supposed to.
I am nearing my wit's end with this thing, and I just want it to stop giving me keyboard errors at POST. Does anybody
here have any ideas on how I might go about resolving this kind of a problem?
