PCI audio card with GOOD quality? (For ITX DOS gaming build)

My Ensoniq PCI 128 card works, but sounds terrible compared to running the same games in DOSBOX on my modern PC.

Does anybody here use a PCI audio card that sounds as good as an ISA one?

Some people like the Aureal Vortex 2 (SQ2500) for DOS gaming which emulates OPL3 and has a DOS usable MIDI header for a Waveblaster board.

I think best compatible ones may be Creative SB. Then, best ones should be AWE64, Audigy or SB 16. Good quality ones,not compatibles....

Check about DOS drivers and compatible size...
