Interesting device. This will take a real dedicated collector, though. With FreHD, M3SE and HXC floppy emulators giving gigabytes of storage for less than half he asking price of this, it would be unlikely to be actively used in a collection - would be more of sit on the shelf and admire it type of thing.

http://www.trs-80.org/pions-interstellar-drive/ was for TRS-80 but also for Apple computers so I would be weary of which version it actually is as I dont see a 34 pin nor a 50 pin connection in those auction pictures. and the power to it is a molex connector ?

Very neat, but as mentioned, this would basically be a shelf queen. I doubt the driver software is available which would make it useable. Since it was used on the Apple as well I suspect there is a missing intermediate interface for the TRS-80.

Although warp drive would still be cool to have even if I didn’t have any dilithium crystals to power it.
