Hi Everyone,
I know this is a long shot, but I have to try right? I used to play this game on my TRS-80. I found the game in a book on coding in BASIC. I believe (but am not 100% certain) that the game was called "Clean Up". I've described this game to others, who say "Oh, that's Snake". I don't believe it is. Let me tell you about the game...

So, the game pops with a bunch of characters, possibly blocks as well, in random spots. Wherever you move, there is a line behind you that you CANNOT cross over. You must get to all of the characters without crossing over your line again. When you clear the screen of all the characters, you start a new level, which has more characters and you are moving slightly faster.

I'd really love to play this game again. Some old nerd out there must have played this game like me! I hope someone can help! TYIA!

I did a quick check over at Willus and came up with https://willus.com/trs80/?-a+-10+-p+1982+q=clean

Maybe that will match what you are looking for. In the overview file listings, there are two main "cleanup" entries with 9 different BAS files between them. I have not looked at the difference between BAS files.

May have been reprinted in a book but Dough Schiller's website says it was printed in H&E Computronic magazine.
