I have already seen a brand new one for the model 1 on eBay. How would you update it to work with the model 4?

I described it in the other thread, the modifications required. It's a new PCB basically... 50 pin connector of course. And it won't have the TRS Voice Synth emulation, because you cannot do screen snooping on the Model 3 / Model 4.
