PowerBook 5300cs booting question

Hi all,

I have an otherwise perfect condition PowerBook 5300cs (yeah, I know), but it has an odd characteristic. As soon as I plug the power supply in, it automatically begins booting. Like, I don't have to touch the power-on button.

Is that normal behaviour, or is something unusual going on? Some software thing? How can I turn it off?

If it's been without power for awhile, some of the hardware power managers will do things like that. The PRAM battery is most likely dead. This is not a fatal flaw, however.
