QWERTY CP/M 2.2 for Kaypro 4

Good luck !

Never heard of French, there are posts on this site about "German" stuff - check it out.

More details needed.

We are developing a "Kaypro knowledge base " base on this site, so any info most welcome - so post all you find.

Thanks for your interest in Kaypros !

I'm fairly ignorant on the subject but I thought the French used QWERTZ? Is there no equivalent of keyb (dos command to remap keyboard layout) in CP/M?

...French used QWERTZ? Is there no equivalent of keyb...
French keyboards are AZERTY layout. I'd hazard a guess that most CP/M machine that supported multiple languages had their own version of a key mapping program. Back in the day when I used an LSI-Octopus, it had GEYGEN and LOADKEY utilities to create and load different key mappings.

I misspoke (google translate is that changes in QWERTY AZERTY) ... Indeed the French keyboard is AZERTY !

I have two Kaypro:
a Kaypro II (U.S. version 110V) with a QWERTY keyboard
a Kaypro 4 (French 220V version) with a AZERTY keyboard

I would use the Kaypro 4 with a CP/M that recognizes the AZERTY keyboard ...

There is a specific version of CP/M, there is not only the U.S. version, it has German, Italian, Spanish, French, etc. versions ?

I don't found trace of KEYGEN and LOADKEY commands on CP /M
