Success! The 470uf leads were absolutely just barely narrow enough to fit through the drills on the board. You might not be able to fit it depending on the dimensional tolerances and various PCB revisions I imagine are floating around.

I haven't seen capacitor leads that thick in well over 15 years, you must have gotten some really expensive caps there.

Axial capacitors from Nichicon or Rubycon aren't going to have leads that thick and should have a better fit.
