Software needed

I need software disks to low level format an st4038 and a copy of the latest dos that will run on a ibm 5170 on 360k disks
i am willing to pay for this i am in the united states and my email addy is fennectech@gmail.com also i dont have a way to write disks so i need disks

Are you aware that if you connect a 1.44M diskette drive to an IBM 5170 as the first drive, you can at least boot from a 720K sized DOS boot diskette.
You can see that being done in the procedure at [here].

If your 5170 has the 11/15/85 BIOS (see [here]), then your 5170 has the additional ability to boot from a 1.44M sized DOS boot diskette.

I have DOS 5.0 and DOS 6.22 on 360K disks if you want either of those mailed to you.

would 6.22 cause a problem with the ibm 5170? how much would it cost me?
