Sony SMC-70 FAQ

I imagine there are any number of people out there with a Sony SMC-70 or Sony SMC-70G they're not using.
In order to alleviate that situation, I've started to put together a Sony SMC-70 FAQ,
including a boot disk image (in ImageDisk format).

The Sony SMC-70 is enough of an oddball system that one would probably want to know, for example,
how to connect a monitor to it or where to find a boot disk for it, before caring what kind of CPU it has.

But if someone can't find a Z80 data book, I'll be sure to send 'em your way.

Just recently bought an SMC-70GP (PAL) version in Australia.

Wondering if you or someone here bought this System Monitor Reference manual that just sold on eBay for under US$90 best offer? https://www.ebay.com/itm/187960609637

I've uploaded pics for when the eBay ad vanishes.

My system will turn on but characters displayed and typed appear as something totally difference and slightly scrambled, so maybe the character ROM is corrupted?

I can get into the system monitor by holding a key while switching the system on but curious what commands are available. I know pressing 'w' switches from 40 column to 80 column mode, or at least it does on my system.
