looking for any manuals or info on the svi-808 pc's i have 2 x svi-808 and looking for circuits diagrams, repair info etc... i have got a set of svi-838 circuit diagrams but they differ. thanks for any help

well opened the SVI-808's today and the psu's have problems.. as i was expecting from the blog that he was writing.. so the next step is to go through to see where & what voltages are missing.. it uses a dual 16v ac power pack to a dc drop down board.. and its the normal 5+,5-,12+, 12- and ground so if its totally dead its and easy replacement option.

put up a disassembly blog on terry's vintage web page...... https://www.classic-computers.org.nz/forums/viewtopic.php...

ok so did a bit of voltage checking and I'm a little perplexed..

The Spectra PSU; the main black AC box is fine both outputs have 16V ac on them,
The DC board has ....... 12v+ = +11.96v
5v+ = 0v prob the L4964 DC-DC.
-12v = -14.41v
-5v = -13.54v ? why so high

all are unloaded voltages

the Franken PSU; the main black AC box is fine both outputs have 16V ac on them,
The DC board has ....... 12v+ = +12.11v
5v+ = +5.12v
-12v = -14.52v
-5v = -13.73v ? why so high

all are unloaded voltages

any help ?? would it be ok at -13.73v on the -5v rail or is that a fault.. i'm picking it is an issue

thanks and keep watching

News on the SVI-808's i recently got...
things are on the move.. and thanks to Darren for having a look at the KiKad files on GitHub i have uploaded..
but don't rush there yet they are private and if you are not invited you won't get access for now..
i need to make sure it is correct first.. and then will finish off the board and publish it for all.. i am hoping it to be a remove some parts and use to make the replacement (same size and replacement for original)
