ST-4038 Breather Hole Exposed?

I had a look at my Seagate ST-4038 and found that this hole is exposed where I assume a sticker once was. Does this hole need to be covered up? It has been like this since I got it.

I would say that the hole needs to be covered if they came with stickers there. Probably not required, but that hole looks like a direct entry to the platter chamber. I'd find some kind of tape to cover that hole with, aluminum aircraft repair tape comes to mind.
