Does any one know if the SX-64 has the same issues with possible static discharge on the user ports killing the CIA chips? I am looking at ordering protectors to add to the systems (VIC-20 through Amiga 500) and I was wondering if I should also order a set to add to the SX-64 ports.
If it does, the ones I am looking at at the kind you solder onto the bottom of the boards under the ports onto the connectors, would there be room for this since it sits right on the power supply at the back.
I also do have a set that attach to the CIA chips and then into the sockets, would those fit even with heatsinks on? I a just asking incase anyone had looked into this/done it themselves before I start taking it apart only to find out that I can't do anything about it.
