Well you're dirty & sweet, dressed in black, don't look back girl, I love you,
You're dirty & sweet, oh yeah...
Well, You're small & you're weak, you got the look of the Hydra upon ya...
You're dirty sweet & you're my gal!

On this side of the pond, T Rex is considered a 'One-Hit-Wonder', but they have quite a 'cult-following' world-wide (including myself). I'm just wondering if any of our 'international' members can identify the cover of Get It On (Bang a Gong) that is being played on a current TV commercial (I don't recall what they're selling). It sounds pretty good, but it ain't T Rex.
I tried googling it, but all I could find is that at least five different bands have covered the song over the years, and I couldn't find any clips for comparison. Anybody???

Unsure, though I thought there was an commercial sometime back
which had the T Rex version of Get it On. I thought it might
of been a Jeans commercial, but I suspect we maybe talking
about two different commercials.

Yeah, difficult to say - the advertisement I'm thinking of was
a Just Jeans ad (where they have that little 3D rotating
cube), the "Get it on" in that sounded like T-Rex cover.

Occassionally though, I've found some commercials might play
one version & later they get some unknown to do this. Hope
this doesn't throw any uncertainaties into the puzzle. See if
you can get onto it though.

It's a pity though, cause occassionally I hear some decent
song - but whoever plays it I have no idea. For instance
durning the Commonwealth Games there was this song they were
playing (leading into a commercial) - called "Forever young",
"Who wants to be Forever Young", great tune - unfortunately,
don't know who performed it. There was a great Aussie band
called "The Church" - I thought it might of been them - but
who knows.

And in the past recent years there was other great stuff, but
since it was in advertisement. A pity really in these times,
cause there's so much rubbish out there & a handful of
Performers/Groups which do an absolute belter.

Since a year ago or so, there is a nylon leg spray giving the texture of women's pantyhose. I'm not sure if it is sold on hype or if it is worth the money (one can is rather expensive and lasts about 20 pairs of nylons, I think) but maybe the next thing in a few years is true spray-on denim. After all, we're supposed to live in the space age. On the other hand, denim jeans seem to go in the other direction, to be more and more designed and asking prices of $200 and upwards for a pair of jeans isn't unheard of. In that context, a denim spray may be counter-effective.
