Or more concretely, I'm looking for the 62 pin IDC and Edge connectors; but no luck so far. Seems that they're pretty uncommon and the big electronic suppliers (digikey, mouser...) doesn't have them in stock, only 60p or 64p are easily found :(

Does anyone knows where to find these parts?

Seems to me there was discussion about one part being hard to come by...can you take the longer one and cut off the end?

The best option I've seen is hackery to a ribbon cable and use of a standard 8-bit ISA card... Something like what's discussed in the following thread:
http://www.vcfed.org/forum/showthre...X-with-XT-IDE-card-CF-IDE-adapter-amp-CF-card

I've had this project on my "to be tried" list for quite some time. The particular poster from the thread above uses an XT-IDE which seems like an excellent solution.

Edit: More info in this thread: http://www.vcfed.org/forum/showthread.php?4787-Tandy-1000HX-question

And with my hundredth edit to this post, more info at this post: http://www.vcfed.org/forum/showthre...EX-RAM-Board-(Plus-Board)&p=360923#post360923

I made this a while ago, but I know I used a longer edge connector. It did see files from the XT-Ide, but would not boot from it.

One of these days I'll have to get back to it.

All pics show what I'm looking for, both IDC and edge conectors crimped on a cable; but definitely I'll need to hack them a bit...

I've purchased a 62 edge connector, not crimpable, so I'll need to solder some dozens of wires. The IDC connector is 32 pin long and it doesn't fits the male header , I'll cut one of the plastic sides to solve this problem.
All in all not so pretty as the one pictured by gary2000 or EagleTG but I'm confident that it'll be a solution for a XT-IDE.

I'm planning to make the PCB based PLUS-2xISA adaptor (I have all the parts, just havent got the PCB design right yet) however in the meantime I made this ribbon cable PLUS-ISA adaptor (and a couple of Lo-tech ISA CompactFlash Adaptors too).

I couldnt get 62 Pin IDC edge connectors and used a 64 pin IDC edge connector instead - I'll prolly stuff a plastic blocker in the far end to prevent incorrect card insertions.

Although I still need to buy a 1000 EX ... I'm still working on that! :D
