I've got a TRS-80 model II, however I do not know how to run "/BAS" files or display "/TXT" files.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

You must first load the Model II BASIC and then load your '.BAS' file from within BASIC.

This ^^
however, it is also possible to include it...

such as

basic FILENAME
which will start BASIC and run FILENAME/BAS...
(or something like that... its been SOO long since I used TRSDOS basic!)
:D

For certain the OS needs to be loaded. Also, you don't want to shut the Model II down with the system disk still in the floppy drive as it will 'bork' that disk. How you load the files may depend on how many floppy drives you have. Our old setup (early 80's) had one floppy in the Model II and 3 other data 8 inchers in a consol.
