Hello,

I have a been trying to find an Apple IIe game I played in grade school I don't remember the name of. I even tried to join the Apple2Online forum but never received instructions on how to contact the SysOp to complete registration.

I have searched and searched the internet for this this game and only received the answer 42.

So as it seems, I've been asking the wrong question or at least the wrong place.

This is a game I played and all I remember is the following:

It was a Hybrid text adventure game. It had text game elements, graphics and some video game segments. Kind of like Oregon trail.

Your character entered a building. I think it was in the mountains. Maybe it was a ski lodge. I don't really remember exactly.

At some point in the game your character gets shrunk and you are on a table and have to figure out how to get to the floor.

At some point when you are on the table you have to slide/climb down a drinking straw and it gets drawn on screen while the computer makes sounds.

An option to get off the table is climbing on to a paper air plane. If you pick this option you get to fly the plane through the room (the video game segment I remember)

I have been trying to find this for a while. I even bought the Apple IIe I played it on while in grade school along with some disks.

Thanks.

Try r/tipofmyjoystick on Reddit. I was able to get a game found with far less details than you remember.

Definitely not Mystery House or Cranston Manor. I checked out r/tipofmyjoystick on Reddit and have not found it yet. I will keep up my search and will post it here if I ever find it. I pre-appologize for a necro post.

The suggestion was that you make a post on there asking. They were able to find a game for me based on insanely meager description.

I got directed there when trying to find a game I had lost in a recent move and was going mad trying to remember. I had never played the game so knew nothing of the content, just that it was some kind of medieval-fantasy, a very early CDROM game(possibly shareware or a re-realease), and that it had a dude with an axe on the cover.

This guy got back to me within 4 hours with the name, the instant I saw a picture I knew it was game. I've since bought a new copy and actually played it(after having it for 25 years).

It was pretty amazing.
