Hello everybody
it's been a while but I finally had the time and the opportunity to get back into a new vintage computing adventure.
my brother recently gave me a vax 4000-105a that he recovered from his work seemingly put out of service in 2012. he saved it when they emptied a local.
not being very familiar with this material, I managed to boot it on the only hard drive that seemed functional.
after some research I was able to change the system password. and therefore access the openVMS 6.2 system
There are 3 dssi hard dirves RF36
in order to save the contents of the system disk I wanted to know if it was possible to clone these disks and if so what software should be used?
what is the original configuration of the 3 dssi disks? is it a RAID configuration?
the manual I found does not give any information about default disk configurations onlys disk specification (hardware specs)
I hope someone has the courage to delve into his memories and the time to help me in my goal
