I'm looking for a floppy disk drive controller that can control a Siemens FD-100-8D using the Shugart 850 interface. I really only need to know the chip(s) that were used to control the fdd, like the Intel 8272. I would like to know if anyone here has any suggestions as to what chip(s) to look for, or if there is an isa card that I could do it with. I'd rather not have to get/make a special pcb that only converts 50 pins to 34 pins. Thanks for any help.
