I have a Dell OPTI 380 SLIM that appear to have a bad CMOS battery and I cannot find any info on which battery it is and I cannot currently take the box apart to see it. Any help would be appreciated.

Marc.

Both Valid points. It's not vintage I apologize for that. Can't open it up right now because it is connected to the time clock at my place of business and payroll goes out this evening. I would like to run to run to RS and get a new one and then do some quick surgery after that is finished.

Most likely shouldn't have posted here as it is way out of the parameter of this forum. Sorry if I offended any one.

For what it is worth, if it has a side panel, you can actually open it while powered.
Not exactly recommended but I have done it

Suffice it to say I can not get it in a position to do that right now.

CR2032, if not soldered to the board, some are, you could even replace it with the machine on, I've done this with several machines. Not the most recommended I know, but if the customer is worried about the machine being off, the machine won't know the difference.
