Searching for the fastest 386-socket CPU I can get my hands on and believe it would be the TI486SXL-40 with 8kb cache, is that correct?
Not overly interested in the TI486SXL2-50 as it runs at 25MHz when not clock doubled whereas the -40 runs at 40MHz all the time.
I looked at the Intel RapidCAD but they nerfed it by deleting the cache and 486 instructions.
I'm not opposed to socket modifiers like the Transcomputer modules, but things like that are even rarer to find it seems.
Any ideas?
