Hi all,
I'm trying to bring a 486 I pulled from a dumpster back to life, and the repeated "HDD Controller Failure" messages I'm seeing flicker on the screen before it fails to boot has me suspecting the the IDE + Serial + Joystick combo card has failed, although I'm not ruling out other issues at this point (especially since the serial port on this card is working fine). I'd like to replace it with a "like for like" card, if possible.
If anyone has a "known good" combo card that sits in an ISA + VLB slot, I'd be interested in picking it up. Let me know if you have something!
