XTIDE Prebuilt .bin files

Hi,
I was going to burn the pre-made ide_atl.bin (default) to a ROM on a NIC card for XUB use. Is the CHECKSUM still required or can I just write it as is?

Use XTIDECFG.EXE to: 1. Import the BIN file, then 2. configure the XUB to suit the target controller, then 3. export a new BIN file (for the ROM).
XTIDECFG.EXE will adjust the 8-bit checksum as part of that process.
