;) Im 15 years old, and I like computers and other electronics...

I come here in search of help to build a game/chiptune system.

I have programming knowledge of the MC68000, the YM2151, the YM2612, and the Z80 chips.

I would like to build a game system that is capable of hardware emulating MC68K based systems with a simple chip cartridge swap, such as the neogeo, the sega genesis or namco's System1 and playing music without any outside input besides power. I would also like it to run on batteries for easy carrying and enjoyment.

I like the sounds of the YM2XXX sound chips because they have that characteristic zappy noise and form to them. Simply put, it sounds cool, because even though I never owned a game system untill 2000, I grew up with the sounds of the sega genesis emulator.

I hope to learn alot and to get this project afloat, as I really enjoy the sounds of my era.

Welcome to the forums!

There aren't a lot of vintage gamers here, but there are a few.

Enjoy!
